The PIT (Pile Integrity Test) is a non-destructive and highly efficient method for evaluating the integrity of concrete piles.
PIT Testing allows for rapid identification of potential execution flaws in deep foundations, ensuring greater safety, quality, and structural reliability in infrastructure projects worldwide.
Request a QuoteThe Low-Strain Integrity Test (PIT), also known as the sonic test, is a non-destructive technique used to evaluate the structural integrity of deep foundations, especially concrete piles.
The method consists of emitting light impacts on the pile head and analyzing the reflected signal response, allowing verification of the element's continuity and identification of possible discontinuities such as cracks, necking, or concreting flaws.
Being a fast, accurate, and non-invasive test, PIT is widely used as a quality control tool in foundation execution.

We prepare the pile top, leveling and sanding when necessary to ensure a flat surface suitable for wave propagation.
We attach a high-sensitivity accelerometer to the center of the pile, using coupling material to ensure correct signal transmission.
Light blows are applied to the pile head, generating stress waves that propagate along the structural element.
The system records the reflected waves, allowing analysis of the pile's behavior and identification of possible discontinuities or structural anomalies.
